Thank a Soldier

This weekend many of us have plans to enjoy a barbecue with friends, a long week-end from work, fireworks or tending the garden, enjoying what I hope was nice weather. But whatever we do, we mustn’t forget our soldiers, past and present and future.

The defenders of out nation, our men and women in uniform have no day off, no barbecue when they’re deployed. They are the defenders of our freedom, for FREEDOM ISN’T FREE. It comes at a price and that price may be the ultimate sacrifice or loss of limb, family devastation.

So, this Memorial Day weekend memorialize veterans who have given for our country, past and present; and every time you see a soldier, take a moment to express your gratitude, “Thank you for your service.”
